In August 2016, CoreCentric Solutions Inc.—a remanufacturer and a reverse logistics service provider—relocated to a newly constructed facility in Carol Stream, Illinois. The CoreCentric team also highlighted their ability to adjust the fans’ speed to match seasonal needs—increasing speeds in summer to create a slight draft versus utilizing lower speeds in winter.

“We never fully recognized the benefit—and the need, really—of an industrial fan,” said Jim Louis, a CoreCentric employee. “One fan packs a lot of power and has created a workplace environment that’s enjoyable and keeps us all going.”

Bernie Little Distributors, Inc. is a distributor for Anheuser-Busch throughout all of Polk, Highlands and Hardee counties in Florida. In 2011, Bernie Little Distributors was awarded by Anheuser-Busch as the No. 1 distributorship in the United States based on the Ambassadors of Excellence Program—out of 500 distributorships nationwide.

From spring to fall, humidity is ever-present across Central Florida, and the distribution center’s loading area often experienced condensation build-up on its concrete floors. The team would often attempt to scrub the moisture from the floors, but their efforts only provided a temporary fix.

“Due to the condensation on the floors, our employees were constantly at risk of a safety hazard. When our team would operate forklifts, they would need to exercise extra caution because of the machines’ tendency to slip on the damp floors,” said Richard Harper, operations manager of Bernie Little Distributors. “I have a couple small exhaust fans in the facility, but their air movement was only within a few feet of the fans, which doesn’t help to dry the floors at all.”

After receiving a recommendation from his brother who had recently installed Hunter Industrial’s products in his Frito-Lay facility, Mr. Harper turned to Hunter’s HVLS fans as a solution for his 200-foot by 75-foot loading area. He was interested in how these large volume fans were able to move air to the floor and effectively eliminate moisture build-up.

In February 2018, Mr. Harper purchased two of Hunter Industrial’s premier Titan 24-foot fans. When the warm spring months increased humidity levels, Mr. Harper noticed an immediate difference in his floors with the Titan fans operating at just half-speed. There was no condensation build-up on the concrete, and employees were able to operate forklifts and execute daily tasks without the need for caution.
