Service Drive Manager Gino Lacayo oversees the service center at the Murfreesboro Nissan dealership. With more than 30 employees, the service center was added to the building in 2013 and can manage up to seven vehicles at a time.

When the service center was built, there was no HVAC unit or ceiling fans, affecting employees and guests with lingering exhaust fumes and high temperatures in the warmer months. The Murfreesboro Nissan team knew they needed a solution to help circulate air, push fumes out and keep workers cool.

After researching HVLS (high-volume, low-speed) fans, the team learned about the Hunter Fan Company’s industrial division—headquartered just 30 miles from the dealership in Nashville.

Hunter Industrial’s HVLS fans were installed in Murfreesboro Nissan’s service center, including two 10-foot ECO Fans. The ECO fans created the perfect amount of airflow for the service team and immediately eliminated any vehicle fumes.

“I brag on these fans all the time, and I love that we can set them to reverse and low speed to fit our needs,” said Gino Lacayo.

Belinda Dunavant, a long-time employee at Murfreesboro Nissan, has experienced first-hand the difference the Hunter Industrial fans have made. “We would tire out so quickly from the heat that it would affect our work. Now, our area stays much cooler—especially in the summer,” she said.

“I was present when they installed the fans—the crew was efficient, courteous, and had the fans up in no time. I was impressed by the entire process,” noted Belinda.

The design of the fans is another factor that pleased Gino and his team. With a black direct-drive motor and silver blades, the fans in the facility compliment the colors of Murfreesboro Nissan’s brand.

Gino relies on the Hunter Industrial fans to keep his team comfortable and focused, allowing the employees to work more efficiently for their customers. Murfreesboro Nissan now has no problem maintaining good air quality as employees service thousands of vehicles throughout the year.
