The Faces Behind the Designs

Our production process has many steps, and it starts with our team of designers. Meet the faces behind Hunter ceiling fans!

Here at Hunter Fan Company, we have quite the design process – and it all starts with our expert designers. These dedicated designers devote their career to staying on top of worldwide trends and bringing them to life through a ceiling fan. Most of us wouldn’t know where to start with designing a ceiling fan, but it comes quite natural for these guys!

Our design team consists of three main designers: Patrick O’Connell, Claire McRoberts, and Ryan Eiffert. Learn more about their inspiration, favorite Hunter ceiling fan, and more!

Meet Patrick.

Patrick O’Connell is our Brand Design Director here at Hunter. Patrick brings joy to the office with his charm and wit! Patrick travels with the rest of the team, to research and gather design inspiration from all around the world. Whatever design is trending – we have a fan for it!

“We want to be at home in every one of our consumers’ houses.”

Patrick

Patrick’s favorite fan is the mint green Cranbrook. What started out as a “why not” fan quickly turned into a fan favorite! With the exposed LED Edison bulb, natural wood blade finishes, and pop of color – this fan is quite the statement.

What Patrick loves about Hunter is that we take an essential part of a house, then combine it with style and innovation to create a more comfortable and enjoyable environment for people.

Meet Claire.

Claire is the sweetheart of the designers! She serves as our Industrial Design Manager. From magazines to trade shows, Claire is constantly pulling design inspiration and bringing them back to our team.

“We’re always trying to find and explore different areas of inspiration to bring into our designs.”

Claire

Her favorite fan is the Spider Rock. This modern fan is part of our collaboration with Pendleton Woolen Mills and has quickly become a popular fan for many people!

Claire loves the close-knit atmosphere of Hunter Fan Company and how it allows us to be nimble and work quickly.

Her favorite thing to do in Memphis is to take her two dogs to Shelby Farms Park, enjoy nature, and be active!

Meet Ryan.

Ryan is our Associate Designer here at Hunter. He is the most recent addition to the team and continues to add so much character and energy!

Drawing inspiration from numerous design websites, Ryan is always on the lookout for that next spark of inspiration. His time exploring and researching these pages has helped ignite some of his best work!

Ryan’s favorite Hunter fan is the Hepburn. He has admired the fan since he started working here and continues to draw inspiration from it!

His favorite thing about Hunter is our collaborative design process. The team brings their inspiration and ideas together to deliver quality design to all of our fans.

When Ryan’s friends visit Memphis, his favorite thing to do is take them by the Pyramid. The Memphis Pyramid is a 321 ft. tall structure located downtown, which is currently home to a unique Bass Pro Shop. The building’s design was inspired by pyramids in the Egyptian city that Memphis is named after Ryan believes the spontaneity behind the Pyramid is a great symbol for Memphis.

“That ‘We’re just going to do this’ attitude I find really inspiring.”

Ryan

As a company, we are so proud of our products and this all starts with our designers. Thank you, Patrick, Claire, Ryan, and the rest of the Hunter team for all your hard work!
